The Canon Powershot G12 is a prosumer compact digital camera launched in 2010. It is a 10 Megapixels and has 5x zoom range from 28mm-140mm. It may not pack the most number of pixels and the widest zoom range but it offers other “Pro” features such as a faster lens (F2.8-F4.5), a larger sensor, fully articulated LCD and RAW format.

The newer Canon S100 seems to be a more popular model than the G12. However, what I know about this premium compact Canon G12 is that it is more popular in Europe and Australia than in the USA.
